SEO the Write Way

I had a wonderfully enlightening and joyful conversation yesterday with Roy Montero of SEO the Write Way. I learned quite a bit in our 3+ hour phone conversation, aside from many similar personal interests, we are also both passionate about our jobs and the business we’re in; he in SEO and me in web design - giving us another common link.

I first heard of Sharon and Roy Montero a few years ago via an email list that I’m on, which then lead to us being on one together. They have a solid reputation as SEO experts, and came recommended from others that I respect. Word of mouth referrals are key to me. As a busy business owner, I don’t have time to wade through numerous fake or unethical SEO folks (or experts in any field) to find the good ones with the knowledge I need to keep me up to speed on the cutting edge for the design/internet world. So when I went in search of a class to keep up to date on SEO, and saw Sharon and Roy’s name associated with this class - I jumped at the chance to learn from them.

I was pleasantly surprised at Roy’s phone call on a Saturday morning. I was wondering if every student is so blessed as to receive a similar phone call. :) After our lengthy conversation, I came away learning much and knowing three key things I want to share:

  • Sharon and Roy are good people. They are not out to scam you. Steal your money. Or hard-ball sell you on anything. They are trustworthy folks.
  • I learned something else in our conversation: networking works. It was through other online contacts where I first ‘met’ Sharon and Roy. A first-hand word-of-mouth referral has a lot of weight and credibility with me. So for what it’s worth: I highly recommend Sharon and Roy and their services!
