The Design Process

  • Initial Discussion: It all begins when a potential client contacts us to discuss their web design needs. This can be via email, phone or in person.
  • Based on the initial discussion, we will provide you with a price quote for your web site design and any additional components you require.
  • After the initial discussion, and your acceptance of the initial price quote, we require a signed contract, along with 50% of the quoted design price.
  • NOTE: (design contracts are submitted via email in the PDF format; which requires the free Adobe Reader to view.   Most computers have this preinstalled. Please print this contract, sign and return it to Titus 2 via facsimile or US postal mail.
  • We then work up 2 or 3 design samples for the potential client to preview. This is to nail down a general layout, colors, images, etc... for the site. Changes will most likely happen at this point, as we work together to determine how you want your site to look.
  • We will incorporate any changes you desire to create the final design outline we will use. Upon your approval of the final design outline, we will begin to build your site.
  • You (the client) must provide all site text content and any product photos/images and other pertinent materials as detailed in the initial discussion (unless those are to be provided by Titus 2) before we can site building begins. Without site content, we can not begin your site!
  •  When submitting site content: Text content can be sent via email, either within the email itself or as an attachment.  Plain text for the attachment is least likely to cause software program version variation issues.  However, we do have Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works and Microsoft Publisher - and should be able to open files in those formats.  Photos should be sent in .jpg format.  Illustrations and other graphics should be in .gif format, or one of the other program specific formats listed below.  The image resolution for web design needs to only be 72 dpi.   Other programs: We do have Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Fireworks and can open files in these program specific formats as well.
  • Once the site is complete, we will have you preview it to see if it meets your specifications. We will make any adjustments necessary, within the scope of our initial price agreement, and upon your final approval - the 50% remaining balance would be due. The balance is due before the site is published to your web host.
  • The site is then published and your web site is complete.
  • A CD containing all of your site files and content will be mailed to you, via USPS upon final completion of your web site.
  • Should your site require site maintenance after completion, you may make those changes yourself, or hire Titus 2 for site maintenance.
